About Emily and "Making Me Whole"
Emily Darby is a songwriter and worship leader whose debut album, “Making Me Whole,” is on its way in 2025.
Emily has been writing songs that have been sung in the local church since she was a young teenager, and has continued to do so in a variety of settings and seasons of life ever since. This collection of new songs narrates a journey of healing and restoration, into a “spacious place” of awareness of God’s favour and acceptance, and they carry a freshness and lightness of spirit both musically and lyrically. Producer PKYB has harnessed Emily’s knack for a melody in bringing these songs to life with arrangements ranging from intimate piano accompaniments to fully-produced grooves with a contemporary pop sensibility.
These songs are expressions of worship that are born in the secret place, and capture an experience of intimacy with God throughout the process of healing. It is Emily’s motivation and prayer that the message of hope in Jesus would reach those who don’t yet know him, who need to experience that same healing and freedom, and that these songs might be a vehicle to reach some of those people.
